Pure Texas Rock is what you can expect if you listen to Black Bone Child.
A little special is the fact that they released two albums this spring, Take
You Blind and Alligator. Be it hard rock or the softer version
of this style, here comes real music, straight from the heart, artistically
presented and spiced up with harp and slide guitar.
On Take You Blind you’ll find eight self penned songs. Tell Me I’m Wrong or Baby Baby recall the times of the 60s and 70s sound of The Move or The Kinks. Which basically is a compliment considering some other material that is being thrown on the market these days. By My Hand offers a slide guitar which played that way is rare to find.
Alligator, the band’s second album offers eleven tracks penned by the duo Donny James and Kenneth M. and kicks off in the style of hardrock haydays lead by Deep Purple, Titanic or Black Sabbath. Best examples to proof this are True Love Too Late or What I Know Ain’t Right.
Music for all of us who were cheering their favorite rockbands in smoky concert halls back in the 60s and 70s. And for all others who listen to many of the so called “Rock” bands but still miss the solid sound of the good old days.
